Our third conference was a resounding success...

We were delighted that so many of our partners and contacts joined us on Wednesday 20th May for our third annual conference, which was held at the British Library, London.

The impact of the general election on the FE sector was our main focus for the day and judging on feedback received so far, attendees found it very informative and useful.  Our sector specialist, Beej Kaczmarczyk, painted a compelling picture of the future for the sector and what we need to do to survive and succeed.

As mentioned, Beej will be running a free webinar that will review the key elements of the Queen’s speech. This will take place on Thursday 28th May and is brought to you via ourselves and NCFE.

About The Learning Consortium
The Learning Consortium is a collaboration between Further Education providers.

The consortium leads have developed and implemented The Learning Framework, a powerful model for continuous improvement in teaching and learning based on peer coaching approaches which evidence shows are highly successful. Two groups of people are trained in the Learning Framework: senior leaders, in order to maximise organisational impact and secure a commitment to the implementation of the Framework and practitioners. The practitioners are teachers, tutors, trainers and managers who are trained to develop, qualities and skills to support the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practice through the development of higher level teaching skills in learners using the Learning Cycle.

In addition, regional Learning Forums promote discussions on Teaching and Learning. You can:
